Christmas Cookies

Posted by Kristine on December 12th, 2011. Filed under: Baking Adventures, Cookies.

Every year I go WAY overboard with Christmas goodies. This year was NO exception. I made sugar cookies, spritz cookies, candied citrus peels (lemon and orange), SEVERAL pounds of peanut brittle, candied nuts (almond and pecan), various jams, various spirits. I made all of this on top of getting the house decorated and ready for some first time visitors! We have only lived here for less that two years and it was brand new when we moved in…but there where lots of things that needed to be done that I have put off and put off! So I cleaned and decorated for two weeks!

This years cookies I went with a more modern theme, with greys and pinks. I got the inspiration from a guest post over on Half Baked – The Cake Blog

There was a little bit of a contamination here. I opened a bottle of grey icing over my cookies….which was very dumb…and got dried icing crumbs all over my snow ladies! I ruined the finish on a few of them trying to get the crumbs off…OH WELL
